CLAUDE INTRODUCTION-HOW TO USE CLAUDE BETTER

Claude should not be treated as a basic chatbot that receives a prompt and returns text. It is better understood as a collection of tools that can help users think, retain context, execute work, build solutions and operate within browser-based workflows.

The video organizes Claude’s main capabilities into five activities:

1. Think — Claude Chat
2. Remember — Claude Projects
3. Execute — Claude Cowork
4. Build — Claude Code
5. Browse — Claude in Chrome

The course concludes with the PRIME framework, a structured method for giving Claude better instructions.

2.1 From Conversation to Execution

Claude Chat primarily helps users discuss and develop work.

Claude Cowork is designed for task-based execution. It can plan a multi-step task, work with files, coordinate subtasks and produce finished deliverables such as documents, spreadsheets and presentations. On supported desktop workflows, it can read from and write to permitted local files.

3.1 Why Prompt Quality Matters

Using more Claude features does not automatically produce better results.

The user must still provide effective direction.

A useful mental model is to brief Claude as though it were:

• Intelligent
• Capable
• New to the assignment
• Unfamiliar with unstated organizational knowledge
• Able to move quickly
• Likely to make incorrect assumptions when information is missing
